Cherry Bible Box
Protect your family's Holy Bible with this beautiful hand-crafted Bible box made in my Central New York studio. The box is made of cherry wood with a contrasting poplar ribbon. Cherry wood is a hard straight grained wood with a firm texture. Its heartwood is reddish brown to deep red with brown flecks and pink tones. Cherry wood will naturally darken with age. The lush purple fabric and foam bottom of the box will protect your family's Bible. The outer dimensions of the box are approximately 11-1/2" long, 8-1/2" wide and 5-1/2" deep. The inner dimensions are approximately 10-7/8" long, 7-7/8" wide and 4" deep. Each box is hand made one at a time and the dimensions may vary slightly. The box was finished using linseed oil and shellac which was hand rubbed.
